Daily Positive Affirmations To Combat Pain

Making a habit of using positive affirmations can be a powerful tool for re-programming your subconscious. This makes all the difference in the world to the way you perceive pain. Practicing positive affirmations for pain control is rather similar to creative visualization. Instead of visualizing you are stating.   If you think that pain isn't controlled by your mind read this: Pain Theory

Positive affirmations are quick and easy to do wherever you are, no-one will know what you are doing. These tools all work to change the way your subconscious mind interprets the world.

Don't use a positive affirmation that is unbelievable to you. It isn't going to be believable to say for example " I am completely pain free" if you are hurting. What you need to do is to say something positive that you can believe.

Here is an example to begin with:

"In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, my body is becoming more relaxed, comfortable and . In its own perfect time for the highest good of all."

The power of positive affirmations comes from the fact that our subconscious minds don't differentiate between truth and fiction. Our minds can only know anything about our world by the messages it receives. Our brains interpret reality by means of our thoughts and emotions. What then is reality? That is an interesting thought that we have no room to explore here.

This means you can influence your brain. You can make a difference to the perception of a painful stimulus by thinking differently. Believe it or not repeating a chosen phrase many times each day, even if you do not completely believe it, can change things.

A positive affirmation can, if practiced regularly, bring about pain relief. It may sound unlikely and a little flaky, but it really happens. In the 19th Century Dr. Emile Couè was credited with curing thousands of his patients by the simple means of getting them to repeat the phrase: "Every day in every way I am getting better and better ".

This is believable isn't it? It doesn't ask you to believe in a miracle, just that each day you are getting better.

You can do this too. Saying just your chosen positive affirmation many times a day is something you can do for yourself, even if you don't feel up to doing more. Using positive affirmations for pain control makes good sense.
